Kids Duathlon:
The kids duathlon is a great course for kids ages 5-12, that want to experience XTERRA! its a 1/4 mile
run 1 mile bike, 1/4 mile run. Even shorter for the younger ones..
4 Mile Trail Run:
This Technical run is awesome! Come experience true Cross Country running xterra style with lots of
hills gullies, and dirt!
DUATHLON:
We are pleased to announce our first ever duathlon distance at XTERRA Snow Valley! The course
starts with a 1mile run at the same starting area as the swimmers start , then 10 mile mtn bike, and
same 4mile run with the Triathletes. Compete as an individual or relay!
Location: Snow Valley is half-way between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead, off HWY 18. It’s a 1 1/2
hour drive from Orange County and Los Angeles and a little over 2 hours from San Diego.
The Course: UPDATE The swim will be in Snow Valley's private lake at 7,400 elevation, one and a
half loops. The bike course is hilly and all on dirt roads, sandy and rocky, We have some single track
this year on a downhill switch backs, a few hundred yards worth. It will be on a loop 2 course. The run
is a hilly challenging course, rolling up and down on a loop. Kid’s course is easy made for ages 12 and
under, a little on dirt and a little on asphalt, it’s a ¼ mile run, 1 mile bike, ¼ mile run. Expect water
temps to be between 70-71 degrees. Wetsuits are optional.
All TRIATHLETES must be an annual member of USAT or purchase a One-Day license for $10 at the
event. You must present your certificate at packet pick-up or purchase a one day license if you forget
yours.
Trail runners, duathletes, and kids duathlon don’t have to purchase USAT license.
Post Race: Stay after the race! There will be a post race party at
Local Mexican Bar and Grill Don Peppes in Running Springs!
